New energy charging station
Time:2024-06-26 18:00:00

In 2006, marking the starting point of China's charging pile industry, BYD established its first car charging station at its Shenzhen headquarters, laying the foundation for the development of the industry.

In 2008, the construction of China's first centralized charging station during the Beijing Olympics further promoted the development of the industry. Although the construction of charging stations at this stage mainly relied on the government, social enterprise capital had not yet truly entered this field.

In October 2009, Shanghai Electric Power Company invested in the construction of the Shanghai Caoxi Electric Vehicle Charging Station, which is the first electric vehicle charging station in China with commercial operation functions. At the end of 2009, Beijing Shouke Group completed the construction of the first Beijing pure electric passenger car demonstration charging station in China, which includes a complete intelligent microgrid, at Jianxiangqiao.

On December 31, 2009, the first batch of electric vehicle charging stations (piles) put into operation by Southern Power Grid were completed and put into operation in Shenzhen, with a construction scale of 2 charging stations and 134 charging piles (plugs).

On March 31, 2010, the Tangshan Nanhu Charging Station of State Grid Corporation of China was completed and put into operation. It is the first typical design charging station of State Grid Corporation of China, which can charge 10 electric vehicles in both fast and slow charging modes simultaneously.

From 2015 to 2020, with the release of the "Guidelines for the Development of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (2015-2020)", the charging pile industry entered an early stage of growth. The release of this policy document has attracted the entry of some social capital, and the charging pile industry has officially begun to possess social capital attributes. This change marks the industry's transition from government led to market driven development models.

Since 2020, the charging pile industry has entered a critical period of growth. At this stage, the government has continuously implemented supportive policies for charging stations, especially in March 2021 when charging stations were included in the category of new infrastructure construction. The implementation of this policy has greatly stimulated industry enterprises to expand production capacity and increase output. The charging pile industry is still in a critical period of growth, and the ownership is expected to continue to achieve high-speed growth.

On April 14, 2020, State Grid Corporation of China launched the first batch of 126 charging pile projects, with a planned investment of 2.7 billion yuan for the whole year of 2020, distributed in 24 provinces (cities) including Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, covering various types such as public, private, logistics, sanitation, community, and port shore power. Among them, there are 53000 charging piles in residential areas, 18000 public charging piles, and 7000 dedicated charging piles, which will help fill the industry gaps such as difficulty in charging in residential areas and insufficient platform interconnection.

In October 2023, the Chaoyang District People's Court of Beijing successfully completed the overall auction of a new energy vehicle charging station for the first time. [13] On November 20th, NIO announced on its official Weibo account that it has surpassed 20000 charging stations, making it the car brand with the most charging stations built in the Chinese market.

In October 2023, Chongxiaoshou Charging Station adopted SaaS intelligent cloud platform to achieve remote monitoring and operation management. It can monitor the usage, charging efficiency, and equipment status of charging piles in real time, detect and handle faults in a timely manner, and ensure the normal operation of charging stations and smooth user experience.

On November 28, 2023, Tesla official micro blog announced that Tesla's full scene charging network in Chinese Mainland was open and upgraded, and home charging product series, destination charging stations and super charging stations supported more non Tesla vehicles.

On December 23rd, according to the official Weibo account of NIO, NIO released a 640kW fully liquid cooled ultra fast charging pile and a fourth substitution power station, which will be fully deployed from April 2024. In 2024, NIO will add 1000 new battery swapping stations in the Chinese market, with a total of over 3310 completed; 20000 new charging stations have been added, with a total of over 41000 completed.
